Silver jewellery workshops in Worthing, what to expect
Share
One of the most rewarding things I do is share my love of silversmithing with other people. Whether you've never picked up a pair of pliers in your life or you're curious about how your jewellery is made, my workshops in Worthing are designed to be welcoming, hands on, and genuinely fun!
Here's everything you need to know before you book.
Where are the workshops held?
My workshops take place at Orla James Jewellers in Broadwater, Worthing, West Sussex, where I use their fully equipped jewellery workshop. It's a fantastic setting in a proper studio with all the tools you need. I keep group sizes small so everyone gets plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout the session.
Do I need any experience?
Absolutely not. My workshops are designed for complete beginners. I'll walk you through every step, from handling the tools safely to finishing your piece. If you've done some jewellery making before, that's great too, I can tailor the session to your level.
What will I make?
I currently offer three workshop options:
- Silver ring making — you'll learn to cut, shape, solder, and finish a sterling silver ring to take home. You can choose your size and finish on the day.
- Silver earring making — you'll create a pair of handmade sterling silver earrings, learning techniques including cutting, filing, and finishing.
- Silver pendant making — you'll design and handcraft your own sterling silver pendant, learning shaping, texturing, and finishing techniques to create a truly personal piece.
All three workshops result in a finished piece of jewellery that you've made entirely yourself, something to be genuinely proud of.
What's included?
- All tools provided and materials included (sterling silver included)
- Step-by-step guidance throughout
- Your finished jewellery piece to take home
- Refreshments
How long does a workshop last?
Sessions typically run for around 3 to 4 hours, depending on workshop running and the pace of the group. There's no rush, the focus is on enjoying the process and learning the craft.
Who are the workshops for?
Anyone who loves jewellery, enjoys making things with their hands, or simply wants to try something new! My workshops make a fantastic gift, for a birthday, anniversary, hen party, or just a treat for yourself or a friend.
How do I book?
You can book your place directly through my workshops page. Places are limited, so I'd recommend booking early to avoid disappointment and if you have a specific date in mind for a group booking please contact me to discuss your requirements.
